Cybersecurity is one of today’s most challenging societal security problems, affecting both individuals and organisations such as large commercial companies, small- to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), non-governmental institutions (NGOs) or governmental institutions. Deliberate or accidental threats and attacks threaten digitally administered data and digitally handled processes. Sensitive data leaks can ruin the reputation of companies and individuals, and the interruption of digital processes that organisations rely on in their daily work flow can cause severe economic disadvantages.
With the Peracton Security Analytics, users will be provided with real time threat detection capabilities, situational awareness information, information sharing control and self-healing features to mitigate incidents or attacks.
New regulation like the network and information security (NIS) directive or the general data protection regulation (GDPR) tries to improve cybersecurity and to establish a common regulatory framework in the EU. While complying to new EU regulations is already a major project for large corporations, smaller institutions like local public administrations face even greater challenges regarding implementing adaptations and resulting changes to every day work. For example, smaller municipalities do not have the resources to invest in state-of-the-art cybersecurity while they maintain sensitive and personal data about their citizens.
We are designing a holistic cybersecurity awareness solution aimed at local public administrations, non-governmental organizations and small and medium enterprises to protect against and detect attacks as well as offering sound and realizable solutions by:
- automatic incident detection and visualization
- information exchange with national and EU level NIS authorities
- system self-healing
- multi-lingual semantic support
